Make it stand out
Annual Cat Service Day
Why We Serve
This service day honors Fabian’s love for cats, his compassion for animals, and his dedication to volunteering. By creating enrichment items for shelter cats, we continue the spirit of care and generosity he shared with our community.
What We’ll Be Doing
Join us as we work together to create handmade toys and enrichment items for cats at the Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center.
Participants will help make:
DIY wand toys
Braided fabric toys
Cardboard enrichment puzzles
Sensory-friendly items to keep shelter cats engaged and comforted
No crafting experience needed, we’ll guide everyone step-by-step!
WHAT TO BRING (Optional)
If you’d like to contribute materials, here are items that are especially helpful:
Cardboard: boxes, tubes, or corrugated sheets
Yarn: cotton or wool (no glitter or metallic threads)
Fabric: old T-shirts, fleece, or clean fabric scraps
All materials should be clean and pet-safe.
