MOVIE & MEDIA LITERACY CLUB

What is it about?

The Movie & Media Literacy Club transforms the simple joy of watching films into a powerful way to explore emotions, social situations, and new perspectives. With skilled facilitators guiding the conversation, participants learn to understand stories on screen—and connect them to their own experiences in thoughtful, meaningful ways.

What We Do

  • Each session features carefully chosen movies that open the door to meaningful conversations about friendship, empathy, problem-solving, and big emotions.

  • Through guided discussions, participants learn to understand characters’ feelings, recognize social cues, and explore their own thoughts and reactions in a safe, supportive space.

  • We teach participants to look beyond the surface of what’s on screen—thinking critically about messages, friendships, and how stories relate to their own lives.

  • Talk about healthy ways to handle conflicts and choices.
